The Banner Building Block is a general visual cue at the top of a page or module that indicates something purposeful about the content below it. In general, banners often are to the page's subject matter, module, or course. You can use a change in banners to indicate a shift in topic or page change.
Course Maker has a large library of pre-formatted banner images that span from solid colors to STEM-related imagery. If you wish to add your own banners, here are some recommendations to consider:
- Dimensions: 1500px by 300px
- File Size: 300 KB or less (higher sizes may affect page load times)
- Resolution: 72 dpi
D2L Best Practice: Upload images you plan to use as banners to a central Images folder under the Manage Files tool in D2L.
