Divider

Dividers are used to separate content on a page so that the user can identify different sections, groups, or parts.

Considerations

  • Do: Use a divider to separate large bodies of text on a page.
  • Do: Use a divider to separate discrete topics of information.
  • Do: Use a line divider as a way to signal a thematic change in page content.
  • Don't: Use the same divider type too frequently on one page to avoid visual clutter.
  • Don't: Use a divider between paragraphs that are on the same topic.
